This image was in my head for a long time before I finally got out the beads and made it. The four red beads are very bulky, so the middle fringe really stands out.
I too love these two colors together. These two colors remind me of a time I got dressed up as a little girl all by myself and I had red and purple and my mother told me the colors clashed - can you even imagine that! Beautiful pin!
Lovely, Jann! They're all so wonderful yet different from each other!!! I think this one is my favorite to date because of the colors. What are the four bulky beads? They look like they might be stones... Does the design have personal significance? The number four? The cross shape (which often signifies something about relationships)? I'm not pushing for meaning, but like knowing about it when it's there.
Robin--These are bulky stones of indeterminate origin. I was only able to buy 4 of these, otherwise I would probably have purchased 5. I do like odd numbers together. I am drawn to flowers and think this might be the second in a series of flower variations. BUT who knows what my subconscious mind was saying to me and will say in the future. I do love the color red, hence the red stones.

A very dramatic piece! I love the fringe in the center.

This is quite a striking design. I wish I could put something together from my head but they always change a lot from head to finished beadwork.
